As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it
without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.Isaiah 55 : 11 (NIV)
The Word of God is not just a bunch of written words it’s a weapon and instrument given to us by God to deal wisely in the affairs of life. We are meant to use the word daily to condition the way we think. There is a way the rest of the world thinks but we are not expected to think that way; we think the way God thinks. That’s why we have the bible to guide us.
From God’s word we know we are like Jesus because we have the same life that He had, so let’s look at a quick example of how Jesus used his word:
When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Now go out where it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish.” “Master,” Simon replied, “we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.” And this time their nets were so full of fish they began to tear! A shout for help brought their partners in the other boat, and soon both boats were filled with fish and on the verge of sinking.
Luke 5 : 4-7 (New Living Translation)
Immediately Peter aligned himself with the words of Jesus he saw amazing results beyond his expectations. It was the same river, the same nets, but what made the difference were the Words of the Master. What has God said to you today? Align yourself immediately by speaking those same words and acting accordingly; don’t be moved by the seemingly unfavorable circumstances!
